We just got back from North Carolina, seeing my brother Jason. 11 hours in a car and having to stop every 2 or so hours to get out and walk around and go to the bathroom was not as bad as I had thought. My brother was amazed with how big my belly was. He said it looked like I swallowed a watermelon. He is going to be a great uncle. Unfortunately, he was not able to feel Grant kick. Grant was being shy. He was however able to see the ultrasound tape.

Maternity Belt

Okay, so for the past few weeks now my ribs and my back on my right side have started hurting. This weekend my back got so bad that I had to lay down and put a heating pad on it. I asked my doctor about this and he said it was perfectly normal. He said Grant was probably on a nerve. Well I went to Motherhood Maternity today and bought a "Maternity Belt". Whoever came out with these should get a gold metal at the Olympic's. It was instant relief. What it does is it holds your belly up and you do not have all that strain on your back.

Glucose Test

Well I went to the doctor today. Half way there I had to drink this sugary soda so they could test my glucose. Whoever tells you its not bad is lying to you. Yes, the first few sips aren't to bad but, after that watch out.

I knew my cravings (Peach Cobbler) would catch up to me. I have gained another 8 lbs. In all I have gained 19 lbs. I know, I know that's not bad. Its just when you see it on the scale it is scary. And it does not help when the nurses use the scales that they have to manually move up and they just keep moving them up and up and up. At least if you are on a digital scale you can jump on and jump right off.

Dr. Brown listened to Grant's heart beat. He said everything sounded good. He was moving around and kicking like crazy. I think he was trying to show off for the doctor.
