We survived...

the H1N1, strep throat and an ear infection all at the same time. YAY!!! Grant started running a low grade fever, had a horrible cough and stopped eating last Thursday. Jason called Friday morning and got Grant a doctors appointment. They did a flu test and a strep test. The flu test came back negative and the strep came back positive. Over the weekend he seemed to get worse. The medication was obliviously not working. At 1:30 am Monday morning Grant woke me up crying. He was burning up. I took his temperature and he had 104 degrees. I called the on-call doctor at his pediatrician's office and she advised us bring him back in first thing Monday morning. They did another flu test Monday morning and guess what??? It can back positive for H1N1. Plus the doctor looked in his ears and said he had an ear infection. By Monday afternoon his fever broke and I was able to get him to eat a little bit. Everyday since then he has been getting better and better. He eats a little more everyday. He is pretty much back to his self again. Looking back at everything now I truly believe he had H1N1 Friday when we went to the doctor, it just did not show up yet.

Birthday Bash

I want to start off by saying "THANK YOU" to everyone that came to Grant's 1st Birthday Party. It means so much to us that you took time out of your day to help us celebrate Grant's special day.

Tall and Skinny

Grant went for his 1 year check up this morning. He weighed in at 20 lbs 6 ozs (20th percentile) and 30 1/2" long (75th percentile). He really let his personality show at the doctor. He would run out of the room laughing and run in circles. He was showing off. I wish I would have had my video camera. We talked to the doctor about turning Grant's bed into a toddler bed. Yes, I know what you are thinking he is too young. However, on Tuesday night he decided he was going to climb out of his crib. The doctor thought it was a good idea because she said she would rather him fall out of his toddler bed than his crib again. I will keep you posted on how Grant takes to his toddler bed.

Happy Birthday Grant!

1 year ago today God blessed Jason and I with the most precious gift ever, Grant Davis Terrillion. He has changed our life in so many ways. He makes me want to be a better person. He makes me want to get up in the morning. He is the absolute love of my life.
