My Big Boy

Can you believe in less than 5 months Grant will be a year old??? WOW!!! Where does the time go? I feel like just yesterday we were bring our little baby boy home from the hospital. He amazes me everyday. He has gone from this little 6 lb 2 1/2 oz baby to a 19 lb big boy over night it seems. He crawls everywhere and is into everything. He loves to crawl under stuff. If he is on the floor he is usually under his Baby Einstein Bouncy, his highchair or his swing. He can go from crawling to sitting up on his own. His top right eye tooth has broken through. These upper teeth have given him way more trouble than his bottom ones ever did. So now he officially has 5 teeth. His looks so cute when he grins. He loves his walker. He runs all over our house. He runs into everything and everyone. He thinks its funny when he runs into us or the dogs. I think he does it on purpose sometimes. ;) LOL... Jason and I decided to baby proof the house two weekends ago. However, I guess we should have "Grant Proofed" the house instead of "Baby Proofing" it. Grant has already pulled the plastic stafely gas cover off from beside the fireplace and the foam padding off from around the hearth. It funny to see the things Grant finds to play with out of all the toys he has. The other day I had the laundry basket in the den and he found it. He sat in his walker and played with the handles of the basket forever. He just sat there spinning the handles around like it was a brand new toy. It was so funny to watch him. He is also always jabbering. Whether he is caring on a conversation with you or his toys his mouth is always going. Hope you enjoy the pictures and videos.

Grant + Being Quiet = BIG TROUBLE

Grant is at the age where he is into EVERYTHING. Yesterday morning I was doing laundry and Jason was loading the dishwasher. We put Grant in his walker and thought he can't get into to much trouble. Well were we wrong. I noticed he was being very quiet and as went to check on him I noticed he was behind the front door. I joking asked Jason if he was in trouble because it looked like he was in the corner. Upon further investigation I noticed he was playing in the fake mulch in my fake tree. He had it all over him, all over the floor and all in his mouth.

"I'll fix it"

Grant decided his bouncy needed to be fixed. He crawled under it and started banging his hammer. It was the cutest thing ever.

2nd Word

Grant has officially said his 2nd word. He just looked up out of the blue this morning he said "Dada". It was almost surreal. Of course Jason was not here to hear it and he has yet to say it again.
