Fun Times in NC!

July 14th Grant, my mom and I flew to North Carolina to see Uncle Jason and Aunt Lindsey. This was Grant's first plane ride. He did very well. He loved to look out the window and pull down the trays in front of you. Friday night Jason and Lindsey had some friends over, Tim and Lindsey and their two kids Elleanna and Declan and Brooke with her little girl Raygan. Grant had a blast. Grant has his first little girlfriend, Elleana. They would hug each other and hold hands. It was the cutest thing. He tried to pull her up in his booster seat one time. By the end of the trip Grant would run down the hall screaming, "Meme, Meme, Meme" for Aunt Lindsey. Thanks Jason and Lindsey for everything. We had a great time!

Look what I did!

Grant was so proud of his coloring. (Even if most of the markers ended up on him) :)

All that coloring makes a boy hungry!

Fun Times in Chattanooga

After our June trip to the Nashville Zoo Jason and I decided to take Grant to the Chattanooga Aquarium in July. We figured he would love it considering he LOVED the zoo and not to mention every animal is either a "dog" or a "fish". We left Sunday morning for Chattanooga. After several attempts to find a hotel with an indoor pool we finally found one. That afternoon we took Grant down to the pool. Needless to say, HE LOVED IT! We did not think ahead and bring him any arm floats however, he just loved playing on the steps and jumping in. He did not think he needed anyone to hold him. He thought he could swim. After pool time we headed out to downtown Chattanooga to watch the fireworks. It was a great plan however, by the time we got there and found a parking space and walked all the way down to the river Grant was beyond tired. So after a few minutes of wrestling with him we decided to head back to our hotel and try and catch a glimpse of people shooting them out our hotel window. Monday morning we got up bright and early and took Grant to the aquarium. Halfway through the Ocean Journey Grant was done. He was not impressed. We had to carry him the rest of the way through the Ocean Journey and the whole way through the River Journey. I think we have decided to stick with zoo's. ;)
